This Thursday Sept. 10th, the Orange County Board of Commissioners will be discussing whether to include non-school capital needs in the proposed November 2016 bond. This bond was originally planned to be used ONLY for school capital needs--not for any new projects/construction. The board voted to use the bond only for schools, but now appears to be reconsidering this. We are encouraging people to attend the meeting on the 10th and wear red to show support for the original plan even though you will not be able to speak. The BOCC will hear public comment on Tuesday, Sept. 15, at 7:00 pm. If you cannot attend, then please send an email (email@example.com) which will go to all commissioners and the county manager. Both meetings will be held at Southern Human Services Center 2501 Homestead Road in Chapel Hill.
