The Chapel Hill-Carrboro Public School Foundation is seeking nominations for Teaching Chair Awards

posted Jan 15, 2016, 5:23 AM by Carrboro PTA

Chair honorees receive monetary awards of $1,000 annually and hold the award for two to three years, depending on their specific chair. While only one teacher will be honored by receiving this chair award, being nominated is, in itself, a way of honoring our exceptional teachers. Carrboro is eligible for two awards this year:

  •  Sockwell Chair for Teaching Excellence in Primary Grades (PreK-2)
  • Kim Hoke Chair for Excellence in Teaching Exceptional Children (New this year!)

Anyone can nominate (students, parents, friends, colleagues). Nominations are open December 2, 2015 - January 29, 2016. More information on each chair and nomination forms can be found on the Public School Foundation website
